If you live in Washington (State). The Health Care Authority of Washington (HCA) administers three different health care programs:
1) the Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB)
2) Washington Basic Health Plan
3) Community Health Services,
They provide access to quality health care for more than 500,000 Washington state residents.
All health plans in Washington State's 'Basic Health' insurance offer the same basic health care benefits, but monthly premiums, providers,details vary Premium differences have to do with the rates health plans charge to cover their costs. Please be aware that this only gives monthly premium amounts. See Understanding Basic Health for information on copays, coinsurance, deductible, and out-of-pocket costs. The Guaranteed Health Benefit Plan - put forth by the Governor will potentially increase access to health care coverage with minimal disruption to the existing marketplace.
Commissioner Kreidler’s Guaranteed Health Benefit Plan would provide health care coverage for all Washington residents up to age 65 – and preserve freedom of choice. Our state is long overdue for a health care system that provides peace of mind and ensures high-quality care for all.
HIGHLIGHTS OF KREIDLERS PLAN
■All residents get catastrophic coverage for health crises over $10,000 a year.
■Limited preventive care is covered, including an annual checkup, immunizations and age-appropriate cancer screenings.
■Consumers choose additional coverage for other routine care.
■All insurance – catastrophic and routine health care – is provided by private insurers.
