StayWell Gold highly encourages you to seek care within its network of Participating Providers, but you can use other doctor's. Eligible charges are the rates the company has agreed to pay its participating providers for covered services.

Some exclusions and limitations apply to your general coverage. Please consult your policy for a full description of the benefits, limitations and procedures of this plan.
Here is a health insurance FAQ
"How long does it take?" Underwriting a health insurance application can be a lengthy process, taking as long as 3 months or sometimes as quick as one day. The underwriting process can experience holdups if the underwriter needs to get in touch with the applicant for a phone interview but the applicant is hard to get in touch with.
The most common holdup occurs when the underwriter has decided to order records from the applicant’s doctor to help make the final decision. Once you submit an application with a health insurance company, it is always a good idea to track the underwriting process or work with an agent or broker who will do this for you. Often times the doctor’s office of which the underwriter requested records from needs a little push to get things done. It is not up to the doctor’s office to get these records to the health insurance company in a timely fashion, so being proactive in the process always helps.
In addition, the applicant can make the underwriter’s job easier by providing the most accurate and detailed information possible on the health insurance application. When the underwriter receives the health insurance application they are often please when the application matches the history of claims they have for the file.
