As a national broker of insurance professionals we must have you take notice to the legistlation that is in process within our Congress.  How will health insurance reform change your business?  Have you read any of the proposals being recommended?  We at HIBO Insurance suggest you take part with Norvax and NAHU to get up to speed.  Read below…

As Congress continues to develop health insurance reform legislation, the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) has worked diligently to protect consumer access to professionally licensed and trained health insurance agents, brokers and consultants. Norvax wholeheartedly supports this NAHU campaign.
Now NAHU needs your help and Congress needs to hear your voice.
We encourage you to do this today.
Please invest 3 minutes of your time and help shape the reform legislation making its way through Congress. NAHU has set up an easy-to-use online form to send a message to our Congressional representatives and the White House.
Just go to NAHU’s Legislative Advocacy page at: http://tinyurl.com/o8emj9
Fill out the brief form and NAHU will automatically send a pre-written email for you to…
• Your House Representative
• Your Senators
• President Barack Obama
• Vice-President Joseph Biden
You may also add to or change that message. If you wish, you can also print out a letter that you can send by regular mail as well.
Both Norvax and NAHU share the belief that health care reform is one of the most important issues of our time. As part of our support of the NAHU campaign and independent insurance agents in general, Norvax is encouraging everyone we know to participate in this important public discussion.
Consumers shopping for health insurance should continue to have a variety of health insurance options. These consumers will always need expert help and support from trained professionals to make the right health insurance decision. We, at Norvax, believe that state-licensed agents and brokers serve a critical role in connecting the 47 million uninsured Americans with the right health insurance plan for them.
Health insurance professionals undergo years of training to become trusted advisors for the majority of consumers and small business owners who lack the time or expertise to navigate the complex bureaucracy.
Trained health insurance professionals also play a crucial role for small businesses that currently provide health insurance coverage to employees. For many employers, their licensed agents, brokers and consultants act as de facto health benefit managers.

Make sure you send this to all fellow health insurance brokers in the United States.  Everyone must get informed to the process that is taking place.  Have you researched the future of your career?

It seems like the governments credit card is maxed out.  Is partisanship a possibility for Washington’s political tribes? El Presidente Barack Obama and the United States Congress are plunging ahead with a health insurance overhaul.  Do you think they will be able to throw money at this problem?  It might be a good idea for a quick fix, but what will be the long term solution?

During this week, Barack Obama will start a new conversation on how to increase health insurance coverage, restrain the costs and improve quality.  How is he going to accomplish this?  By extending Cobra benefits at the tax payers burden?  I’d like to see that a proven and tested method.

We are not quite sure a bill can get through the United States Congress with the two party’s being very disgruntled. For nearly half of a century, the past record on health insurance has been one of missed opportunities, spectacular failures and hard-won incremental gains.  We want to understand what people think.  Is health insurance a right or is it a personal responsibility.  How do you weed out the individuals that would rather buy a new I Pod or a gas guzzling SUV instead of their health insurance?

Some tips for keeping your health insurance in place via our insurance broker staff.  Changing to a new health insurance policy may seem like a good idea. This is a great way to get better coverage, and maybe even save money. But guess what? There are times when you would be better off leaving your health insurance as is. In other words, you don’t need to make a change just because you think it is the “in thing” to do. There are many people who already have the right health insurance, and you may very well be one of them.

Are you comfortable overall with your coverage? If you can answer yes to this question you should not be looking for a different policy. Instead, be happy that you enjoy what you have and that it makes you feel good about yourself.

Cost and coverage are what you need to consider when reviewing your health insurance policy. If both of these details are perfect you should not look into making a change at this time. The worst thing you can do is ditch good coverage. If you do this you could end up with something bad, and in a position that you did not have to be in.

There are times when you should leave your current health insurance coverage and search for a better policy. Do you know when this time is? If you have the right policy there is no reason to make a change. Stick with what you have until further notice.
