It seems like the governments credit card is maxed out. Is partisanship a possibility for Washington’s political tribes? El Presidente Barack Obama and the United States Congress are plunging ahead with a health insurance overhaul. Do you think they will be able to throw money at this problem? It might be a good idea for a quick fix, but what will be the long term solution?
During this week, Barack Obama will start a new conversation on how to increase health insurance coverage, restrain the costs and improve quality. How is he going to accomplish this? By extending Cobra benefits at the tax payers burden? I’d like to see that a proven and tested method.
We are not quite sure a bill can get through the United States Congress with the two party’s being very disgruntled. For nearly half of a century, the past record on health insurance has been one of missed opportunities, spectacular failures and hard-won incremental gains. We want to understand what people think. Is health insurance a right or is it a personal responsibility. How do you weed out the individuals that would rather buy a new I Pod or a gas guzzling SUV instead of their health insurance?
