Individual state governments all across the country are working to facilitate and improve Washington’s stimulus find incentives for physicians and hospitals that implement new health information technology. Health insurance companies are encouraging this technology because it speeds up the application process when patient applies for a new insurance plan. The main reason for encouraging the implementation of the new technology is to create health information exchanges so that doctors and hospitals can share and exchange information which will ultimately improve coordination of care.
